Message from the Principal

A woman with short dark hair smiles warmly at the camera, wearing a white collared shirt. At Goshen Elementary School we believe that every student can achieve his or her goals through engaging and positive learning experiences in a culture that supports continuous growth.  We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success. We are committed to providing a nurturing and challenging learning environment, and your active participation in your child's education plays a vital role.

Here are a few tips to help your child achieve their full potential:

  • Establish a consistent homework routine: Designate a quiet, well-lit space for homework and set a regular time for its completion.
  • Encourage reading: Read with your child daily, even for just 15-20 minutes. This helps develop vocabulary, comprehension, and a love of reading.
  • Limit screen time: Set reasonable limits on television, video games, and other electronic devices, especially during study time.
  • Celebrate effort and progress: Focus on your child's hard work and improvement, rather than just grades.
  • Ensure adequate sleep and nutrition: A well-rested and nourished child is better able to focus and learn.
  • Communicate with the teacher: Use ParentSquare to stay in regular contact with your child's teacher to discuss their progress, address any concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support their learning.

We believe that by working together, we can create a strong foundation for your child's academic and personal growth. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office if you have any questions or need additional support.

Warm regards,
Dr. Griffin
